We are proudly family-owned and operated, and have been since our very inception. Our journey began way back in 1981 when we started printing the classic California Republic flag shirt—even selling our designs at the State Capitol gift shop in Sacramento. Our parent company, Dolphin Shirt Company, also got its start in 1981, printing custom-designed t-shirts and sweatshirts right here on the Central Coast in Cayucos, California.

Today, that tradition continues. Our unique designs—first and foremost our best-selling California Republic Bear Flag Tee—are proudly hand-printed in beautiful San Luis Obispo and are sold worldwide to customers, museums, aquarium gift shops, and resorts. As a family business, we put care into every single print, staying true to the local California lifestyle that inspired us over forty years ago.
